Alan Goldberg I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Silver Spring. I attended both Montgomery Blair High School and the University of Maryland.
I have been blessed to be married to my wife, for 45 years. We currently reside in Rockville Md. Together, we have raised two adult children. Our son, the oldest, is married, has given me two grandchildren, and works for Prince Georges County. Our daughter-in-law is a professional photographer. She specializes in portrait, restaurant food and architecture photography. She has been published and shot covers for several local and national magazines as well as The Washington Post Food Section. Our daughter is a Senior Social Media Community Manager for an Advertising and Marketing firm. She is married to a high school friend, a Vice President for a Local Investment Company. My daughter has given me three adorable grand-daughters.
I grew up a Baltimore Colt fan, I am now a Commanders fan. I also love to follow the Washington Nationals, and the Maryland Terps Men's Basketball team. My hobbies include playing the guitar, and fishing. My wife and I have cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean and recently took a wonderful trip to Alaska.
My first car was a 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible that was totaled before my 18th birthday. In my many years in the automobile business, I have driven almost everything. Today I drive a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Premium. It has become one of my favorites. It is comfortable, roomy and handles like dream. My wife drives a 2022 Subaru Ascent Limited. She loves her Subaru. I would trade with her if I could pry it away.
On June 29th 2012 our son and daughter-in-law blessed us with the birth of our first grandchild, a little girl. The second , a boy was born on February 21, 2015. My daughter gave us her first little girl, born on January 5th, 2016 and a second little girl on March 22, 2018 and yet a third little girl on August 20, 2020. My It seems like it's raining grandchildren. Being a grandfather is so much fun. My heart melts every time I am with them. The young lady with me in the second photo is Maddie, one of the loves of my life.
I spent 31 of my 41 years in the automobile business with a large local organization. I started out as a salesman in the early 80’s and earned the honor of being one of the top 50 Salespeople nationally for Chrysler in 1985. That led to a position as manager. During that time I have done both finance and sales management. In my 40 years I have been involved as a manager for over a dozen manufacturers at the retail level. I have earned many top national awards for Sales, Management and Customer Satisfaction. Several years ago I decided after managing car dealerships for so long, and since my family has grown, it was time to slow down and return to the simpler life of a salesman.
I have returned to the love of my professional life, selling the Subaru product for Herb Gordon Subaru in Silver Spring Md. Subaru represents one of the safest most reliable cars on the road. It's safety record and resale value are unmatched in the automotive industry. I love the Subaru Brand so much I currently own my 9th Subaru. It is my desire to help my customers purchase the car of their dreams in an easy, honest, hassle free environment.
